EBIC members brainstorm next mid-term strategy 2023 - 2027

EBIC organised a members-only strategic summit, on the afternoon of Monday 20 June, at the Divani Caravel Hotel, Athens. The first in-person event since 2019. The event drew enthusiastic support from our members who were happy to see each other and reconnect.

The summit considered, among other things, the way forward to develop and have members’ input on EBIC’s mid-term strategy for the years 2023 – 2027 and was marked by active discussions, breakout sessions where members, in small groups, donned their thinking caps and debated five grand themes:

  • Carbon farming and climate-smart ag
  • Soil health
  • Geopolitics of food and ag
  • Food for all
  • Education and engaging the next generation

During the discussions members arrived at what they thought could be EBIC's mission relevant to the theme, the outcomes we could achieve and the stakeholders that are critical, and each group reported back with their deliberations. The afternoon was capped by the EBIC Board’s reflections on what they heard over the course of the afternoon.

This summit was followed by food, drink, and networking time in the evening.
If you'd like to help shape the future of the biostimulants industry, there will be another opportunity to discuss this in November 2022.
