Eligibility Criteria
To become a Full Member of EBIC, an entity must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- The entity must have legal personality and be duly constituted according to the laws and practices of its country of origin.
- The entity must have a legal presence or legal representative either:
- In Europe
- as a producer of biostimulants in Europe, or
- as a producer of other biological crop input products (excluding biostimulants) in Europe, or
- as a provider of raw materials for biostimulants.
- Outside Europe*
- As a future producer of biostimulants in a preproduction phase, with a commitment to begin production in Europe within three (3) years of membership (extensions possible with evidence of good faith efforts to enter the market).
- As a producer of other biological crop input products (excluding biostimulants) or a provider of raw materials for biostimulants, with plans to establish a legal presence or representative in Europe within three (3) years of membership (extensions possible with evidence of good faith efforts to enter the market).
- The entity applying for membership must demonstrate its alignment with the non-profit purposes and policies of EBIC.
- The entity should have the objective of promoting innovation and respecting intellectual property rights.
- The entity’s activities must be independent from any government influence or control.
